The Line: Belmont Bruins -6.5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

The Morehead State Eagles and Belmont Bruins will play Thursday night in an Ohio Valley Tournament game. These teams met twice back in January, and Belmont won both meetings.

The Eagles are coming off of a 76-61 victory over Tennessee Tech on Thursday. In the win, they shot 44.4 percent from the field, grabbed six more rebounds and forced 22 turnovers on defense. Junior guard Angelo Warner led the way with 23 points. Still, defensively, the Eagles have to clean up their defense, as they’re allowing 75.8 points on 49.6 percent shooting. They are now 8-16-1 ATS this season overall.

Mark Zerof-USA TODAY Sports

The Bruins will play their first game in six days and are riding a current six-game winning streak. On the season, they average 79.5 points on 50.1 percent shooting and are allowing 74.7 points on 46 percent shooting. When this team gets hot offensively, they get hot, as they have four players averaging double-digit points, and are shooting 39.7 from beyond the arc as a team. Defensively, they’ve held three of their last four opponents under 70 points scoring. On neutral sites, they average 83 points and give up 72.5 points. They are 13-15 ATS overall this season.

This should be a solid basketball game that involves a lot of points with the way they both struggle to play defense. But six-plus points seems a tad bit on the high side. In their last meeting, Belmont only won the game by three. The Eagles larked sharp against Tennessee Tech and are riding some momentum, while the Bruins haven’t played in nearly a week.

This game provides a chance for the winner to go to the conference championship game, so both teams will rise to the occasion and bring their best.

In a game where both teams know each other and have plenty of offensive talent, I see this game coming down to the wire once again.

Give me the points.
