The North Carolina Tar Heels travel to Duke to play the Blue Devils on Saturday.
The North Carolina Tar Heels improved to 23-7, 13-4 ACC after beating Notre Dame at home 63-61 on Monday night. On the season, the Tar Heels are led by Marcus Paige, who is averaging a team-high 16.9 points and 4.6 assists per game this season. James Michael McAdoo is averaging a second-best 14.4 points and a team-high 6.9 rebounds per game. Brice Johnson has stepped up and is averaging 10.1 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. North Carolina is shooting 46.3% from the field while averaging a solid 77 points per game as a team this season. North Carolina ranks 8th in the country in rebounding, pulling down 40.9 boards per game as a team. The Tar Heels, led by Paige are also one of the best distributing teams, averaging 15.9 assists per game this season. North Carolina has won twelve straight games after losing four out of five to start conference play. The Tar Heels will be out on the road for their final regular season game of the year.

The Duke Blue Devils dropped to 23-7, 12-5 ACC after losing at Wake Forest 82-72 on Wednesday night. On the season, Jabari Parker leads the Blue Devils with 18.8 points and 8.9 rebounds per game. Rodney Hood is averaging a solid 16.3 points per game, while Quinn Cook is averaging a team-high 4.5 assists per game. Amile Jefferson is averaging 7 points and 6.7 rebounds per game and has really helped Duke improve their rebounding numbers as the year has gone on. The Blue Devils are averaging an impressive 79.6 points per game while shooting 46.5% from the field as a team this season. Duke’s biggest weakness early on was the lack of size in the front court and their inability to rebound the basketball. What was once their weakness has become somewhat of a strength recently as they have outrebounded several of their conference opponents. Duke lost their second game in the last two weeks, but the loss at Wake Forest was cause for concern. The Blue Devils will hit be at home for senior night; Duke is undefeated at home this season.
Despite winning twelve straight games, the Tar Heels have not played great over the past week or two. Duke is coming off a terrible loss on the road and they will be pumped up for their senior night at Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Blue Devils will avenge their loss at North Carolina with a win at home, but I think North Carolina will cover the spread on Saturday.
