The LSU Tigers and the Georgia Bulldogs face off on Saturday in Baton Rouge in their SEC College Basketball regular season finale.
The LSU Tigers have won two of their last three games and they are tied for sixth place in the SEC standings. LSU is 13-2 at home this season and 9-8 in SEC play. Johnny O’Bryant III is averaging 15.9 points and 7.9 rebounds to lead the Tigers. Jordan Mickey is averaging 13.2 points and 7.6 rebounds, Andre Stringer is averaging 11.6 points, and Jarell Martin is averaging 10.1 points. LSU is averaging 76.1 points and they are shooting 44.6 percent while defensively they are allowing 71.4 points and their opponents are shooting 40.7 percent. LSU has had their chances this season but their 2-7 SEC road record has been their undoing.

The Georgia Bulldogs have been one of the biggest surprises in the SEC this year and they sit in third place in the conference standings. Georgia is 11-6 in the SEC but they are 3-10 in games away from home. Charles Mann is averaging 13.1 points per game to lead the Bulldogs. Kenny Gaines is averaging 13.1 points and Nemanja Djurisic and Brandon Morris are each averaging 9.0 points. Georgia is averaging 69.2 points and they are shooting 44 percent while defensively they are allowing 6.6 points and their opponents are shooting 39.6 percent. Georgia doesn’t appear to have the RPI or strength of schedule to make the NCAA Tournament.
LSU is 3-8-2 against the spread in their last 13 games following a win and 2-5-1 against the spread following a game that they covered the point spread. Georgia is 2-5 against the spread in their last seven road games, 22-9 against the spread against the SEC, and 1-6-1 against the spread following a win by 20 or more points. The favorite has covered the point spread in six of the last eight meetings of these two.
This looks to be too many points so I will take them with Georgia.
