Meanwhile, TCU’s bid to avoid a winless 2013-14 conference campaign appears to have met its end. The Frogs dropped their 17th straight in a 66-54 loss at Texas Wednesday that saw them sink to a season-low 25.9 percent from the floor to the Longhorns 39.3 percent, while also being outrebounded 48-32. TCU connected on 3 of 10 from outside the arc to Texas’s 2 of 16 and converted 23 of 29 from the free throw line to the Longhorns 16 of 18. Junior G Kyan Anderson scored a game-high 28 points, including 12 of 14 from the stripe and senior F Jarvis Ray added 10 points and 11 boards. On the season, the Frogs are averaging 63.4 ppg on 40.2 percent shooting. Anderson leads the team with 17.0 ppg, followed by junior F Amric Fields at 13.1 ppg.
Rick’s Pick: The line in this one is currently set at -10.5 for Oklahoma. The Sooners topped TCU by just 8 points a little over a month ago and time’s expired for the Frogs. They get the lean in terms of points here by virtue of home court and this being their last opportunity to get in the win column, but that’s a dubious possibility at best.
