The Vermont Catamounts look to avoid the upset bid of the New Hampshire Wildcats in America East quarterfinal action.
New Hampshire suffered through a dismal season but their conference play really fell off the map in the last month orso where they went just 1-8 to fall in to a three way tie for last in the America East at 4-12. Scoring was a glaring problem througout the year with the offense failing to break 50 points many times. The key for this team is to not change their half court, slow attack but to make some shots because a fast paced game or one where they fall behind early will be a disaster because the Wildcats sink shots at 37% and aren't built to play catch up.

It's been a few years since we could say with confidence that Vermont might be the team to beat in the America East but 2013-14 migh signal their return to prominance. The Catamounts can do a little of everything well as they have outscored opponents 71-60 on the way to the top spot in the conference at 15-1. Virtually every game was decided by double figures so that might be a worry if this team is involved in a close one. Clancy Rugg and Sandro Carissimo are the only double digit scorers at 13 points apiece but there is plenty of complimentary offense with six others netting between 5-9 points.
New Hampshire has played some good teams to within single digits (Marquette) and they have been plastered by 30 by Binghamton so who has a clue what these guys do or don't do. Vermont could lay 40 if they come to play...
