The Saint Louis Billikens and Massachusetts Minutemen will play Sunday in what should be a fantastic Atlantic 10 matchup.
The Billikens have lost three straight games and don’t quite look like the team they’ve been over the last couple of months. Just in their last five games, they’re averaging 68.4 points on 45.1 percent shooting and are allowing 70.8 points on 42.1 percent shooting. The difference has obviously been their lack of defense, as those points allowed average is much higher than their season average of 61.5 points. On the road, the Billikens average 69 points and allow 62.9 points. They are 9-18 ATS overall and 4-9 ATS on the road.

The Minutemen are back to playing consistent basketball, as they’ve won four of their last five games. During this stretch, they’re averaging 80.2 points on 47 percent shooting and are allowing 71 points on 42.9 percent shooting. They’ve scored at least 70 points in four straight games and have lowered their turnovers per game average to under 12 in their last five contests. At home, the Minutemen average 80.2 points and allow 71 points. They are 16-12-1 ATS overall and 6-7 ATS on their home court.
With the way the Billikens have played recently, it’s impossible to back them in this spot. Not only have they lost three straight, but they’ve also failed to cover in seven straight games. That doesn’t include their 1-5 ATS record in their last six road games.
The home team is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings between these two teams.
UMass has appeared to have found its rhythm as of late and has been absolutely dominant on its home court all season long. Look for the home team to cover the chalk with ease in the last regular season game.
