The Cincinnati Bearcats look to flex some muscle in their AAC playoff bout with Central Florida.
Although Cincinnati has plenty of scoring ability when their name is mentioned the first thought is their airtight defense which is one of the best in the land which is even more impressive given the play in power packed AAC. The Bearcats have outscored opponents 69-58 with roughly half their conference foes breaking the 60 point barrier which has led to a first place tie with Louisville at 15-3. I don't expect the defense to let up in the postseason which will leave the scoring up to senior Sean Kilpatrick who has been almost machine like at 21 points per game.

Central Florida is hoping they have some gas in the tank after a marathon two overtime 94-90 victory over Temple on Wednesday. In a way this game summed up what the Knights need to do to win and that's scor points and after 40 minutes hope it's more then their opponents. That theory worked well enough in the AAC first round with both teams connecting in the 45% range in a faster paced tempo. The difference came at the line where UCF went 19-32 and the Owls 13-26 so this should have never gone to overtime. Isaiah Sykes saved the offense with a career day 36 points and nine boards with Tristan Spurlock adding 19 points and eight yanks while Calvin Newell and Kasey Wilson netted 13 and 12 points with Wilson grabbing ten boards.
When the line is released the only question will be how much are the Bearcats favored by. I don't know but it will be hard to go against them but please check back.
