The Memphis Tigers have the home crowd behind them when they face Connecticut in the AAC playoffs.
When Memphis was at the top of their game they were as good as any team in the conference. The Tigers possess one of the more potent attacks in the game at 78 points and when the Tigers wanted to D it up they were also as sturdy as any team. The Tigers finished with a 12-6 mark in conference action and when they lost it was largely through some defensive issues. Having said that, the offense needs to keep humming along and the defense can not afford lapses that have proven costly. Joe Jackson leads a trio of DD scorers with 14 points but three others are also capable of breaking ten points.

If your team resided in the top half of the AAC, chance are very good that you could score and defend. Connecticut fits description perfectly with the ability to do both well which means the Huskies can get the job done at either end of the floor. UConn outscores opponents 73-63 but when the team has struggled the scoring has been way down. Having said that, the key to winning in the postseason is consistent scoring which on paper should not be a worry with Shabazz Napier doing a little bit of everything and doing it well. Napier leads the team in everything with 17.8 ppg, 6 rpg and 5 apg.
Either team could win the entire tournament and I wouldn't be surprised. Memphis has had issues with Connecticut and I can't see a better spot to exact revenge or so I think...
