The Line: New Mexico State Aggies -11 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Seattle Redhawks and New Mexico State Aggies will play late Thursday night in a WAC quarterfinal matchup. The Aggies swept the regular season series.
The Redhawks had a disappointing season with a 5-11 SU conference record. On the season, they averaged 70.6 points on 42.3 percent shooting and allowed 72.3 points on 43.2 percent shooting. While they struggle at both ends of the floor, they’re able to keep themselves in games with 38.5 rebounds per night. Majority of their offensive production comes from junior guard Isiah Umipig, who averages 19.3 points and 3.7 assists. However, the team really shoots itself in the foot with 65.1 percent shooting from the free throw line. The Redhawks have not played in a lined game at all this season.

The Aggies really finished the season strong, winning six of their last seven games. On the season, they average 77.1 points on 48.3 percent shooting and allow 68 points on 40.6 percent shooting. They’re a balanced team at both ends of the floor and are led by junior guard Daniel Mullings, who averages 16.9 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists. As a team, they shoot 38.6 percent from beyond the arc and 68.1 percent from the free throw line. They also haven’t allowed a 70-point performance in six straight games. The Aggies are 7-3 ATS overall.
Considering the Redhawks don’t play in any lined games, there aren’t any trends for them. However, the Aggies are 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall.
The Aggies won the first meeting by nine points and the most recent meeting by 15 points. They’re the much better team at both ends of the floor and should win this game fairly easily once again.
I don’t like the huge chalk, but Seattle gives you no other choice but to lay it in this matchup.
