The Lobos won their first tournament game with a 93-77 win over Fresno State. They were a motivated team at both ends of the floor, shooting 56.9 percent and holding the Bulldogs to just 39.7 percent. Alex Kirk and Cameron Bairstow scored 21 points apiece. The Lobos have been extremely consistent all year, averaging 75.1 points on 46.2 percent shooting and allowing just 66.6 points on 39 percent shooting. However, this play has translated into a 12-15 ATS record overall this season.
The Broncos are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games overall, while the Lobos are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games overall. The Lobos have also covered the last six meetings against the Broncos.
Although Boise State is playing well and the shots have been falling, New Mexico is in a completely different class and has dominated this series over the years against the number.
The Lobos are on a mission to have a rematch against San Diego State, and they’ll do their part to get it with a blowout victory over the Broncos.
