The Albany Great Danes visit Pritchard Gymnasium to face the Stony Brook Seawolves on Saturday.
Albany was thought to be on the outside looking in at the America East with some lost production but their controlled offense and defense has been unstoppable in a pair of tournament wins. The Great Danes were at their best in a 67-58 victory over Vermont in the semifinals as they surprised the Catamounts with a 35-19 lead at the break. Albany won the shooting battle 40.8%-38% but the difference was a 22-7 advantage at the stripe. Peter Hooley led the offensive charge with 26 points followed by a 17 point, 13 rebound effort from Gary Johnson.

Balance has been the key to Stony Brook's success throughout the regular season with their ability to put points on the scoreboard and to control opponents with theirr above averaga defense. Both played a role in their 69-64 decision over Hartford in the semifinals although mistakes hurt them. The Seawolves burned the nets with 56% marksmanship including 7-12 from distance but 13 turnovers gave the 40% shooting Hawks 12 more looks to keep the game competitive. The Seawolves received 21 points from Carson Puriefoy with Anthony Johnson netting 14 while Jameel Warney added ten points and nine rebounds.
This is essentially a home game for Stony Brook which is automatically having me look their way but neither has been consistently impressive. The number looks about right so there isn't a ton of value in my view and I want Stony Brook to win so...
