The Michigan State Spartans sputtered at the end of the regular season but they showed no signs of it on Friday blowing out Northwestern to advance to this game. Michigan State is 4-1 in neutral site games, 13-6 in Big Ten play, and 4-4 against teams ranked in the top 25. Gary Harris has led the Spartans all season and he is averaging 17.5 points per game. Adreian Payne is averaging 16.1 points and 7.5 rebounds, Keith Appling is averaging 12.8 points, and Branden Dawson is averaging 9.7 points and 8.4 rebounds. Michigan State is averaging 76.2 points and they are shooting 47.2 percent while defensively they are allowing 65.8 points and their opponents are shooting 40.2 percent. Michigan State is looking to shake it up in yet another March.
Wisconsin is 2-5 against the spread following a game that they covered the point spread, 3-7 against the spread following a win, and 4-0 against the spread in their last four neutral site games. Michigan State is 8-3 against the spread in the Big Ten, 2-5 against the spread following a win, and 7-3 against the spread in their last 10. Michigan State has covered the point spread in the last six meetings of these two.
This is a tough one as Wisconsin has taken on everyone and Michigan State is healthy again but it's a mild lead to the Baadgers.
