The Wisconsin Badgers and the Oregon Ducks face off on Saturday in the NCAA Tournament for the right to go to the Sweet Sixteen.
The Wisconsin Badgers got off to a slow start on Thursday but once they got started they rolled the Eagles winning by 40. Wisconsin is a two seed in the West Region but this game is played close to home in Milwaukee. Frank Kaminsky leads the Badgers in scoring for the season but he scored just eight points against American. Traevon Jackson scored 18 points, Ben Brust had 17, and Sam Dekker had 11 points as it was the same players that led UW all season. Wisconsin shot 50 percent from the field and 43.5 percent from beyond the three-point arc while allowing just 29.7 percent shooting and 26.7 percent from beyond the three-point arc. Wisconsin also shot 92.9 percent from the free throw line in what turned into a beat down. Wisconsin faces a much tougher opponent in this spot.

The Oregon Ducks had no problem in their first round matchup against BYU leading from start to finish. Oregon is a seven seed in the West and they are hoping with a win to get to play closer to home. James Young was Oregon’s leading scorer this season and he dropped 19 points on BYU. Elgin Cook averaged 6.8 points but he was good for 23 on Thursday, Jason Calliste had 14 points, and Mike Moser scored 7. Oregon shot just 15.4 percent from beyond the three-point arc but 60.9 percent on their 2-point shots. Oregon also nailed 81.6 percent of their free throws. The Ducks will need a complete effort to hang in this one.
Wisconsin is 4-0 against the spread in their last four non-conference games, 4-1 against the spread in their last five NCAA Tournament games, and 0-4 against the spread following a win. Oregon is 8-1-1 against the spread in their last 10 neutral site games, 18-6-3 against the spread following a win, and 3-0-1 against the spread against the Big Ten.
My free pick in this one is going to be on the total sand I like the over. My stronger play is on who will cover the spread and I will post that in the Premium Area as well as on the App.
