The Gonzaga Bulldogs and Arizona Wildcats will battle it out in what should be an interesting NCAA tournament game.
Gonzaga busted a few brackets with an 85-77 win over the Oklahoma State Cowboys. The Bulldogs shot 50 percent from the field and received 26 points from Kevin Pangos in the victory. On the season, Gonzaga averages 76.1 points on 49.1 percent shooting and allows 64.9 points on 39.3 percent shooting. The Gonzaga Bulldogs are 17-14-1 ATS overall this season.
It wasn’t the blowout many were expecting, but Arizona still beat Weber State, 68-59. In the win, Arizona shot 55.3 percent from the field and had four players score in the double figures. On the season, Arizona averages 72.9 points on 47 percent shooting and allows 58.2 points on 37.9 percent shooting. Offensively, Arizona shoots 65.3 percent from the free throw line and 36 percent from beyond the arc. The Arizona Wildcats are 20-14 ATS overall.
The Bulldogs are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record. The Wildcats are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 NCAA Tournament games and 19-7 ATS in their last 26 non-conference games.
Call me crazy, but I’m all over the Gonzaga Bulldogs and the points. I also think Gonzaga has a chance to win outright, and actually have the Bulldogs winning in my bracket.
Gonzaga plays terrific defense and shoots lights out from the field. The Bulldogs also do a much better job of making their free throws, which happens to be a major weakness with Arizona.
I think the Wildcats are overrated with Brandon Ashley sidelined, and this game will be a lot tougher for Arizona than you may think.
Take the points and thank me later.
