The Fresno State Bulldogs and the Old Dominion Monarchs face off on Wednesday in CBI college basketball action.
The Fresno State Bulldogs have won their first two CBI games after finishing the regular season with a .500 record. FSU went to UTEP and downed the Miners by five points and then returned home to beat Princeton by 16 points. Tyler Johnson leads the Bulldogs averaging 15.9 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Marvelle Harris is averaging 14.5 points and 5.4 rebounds, Cezar Guerrero is averaging 12.9 points, and Paul Watson is averaging 10.1 points. Fresno State is averaging 72.9 points and they are shooting 43.6 percent from the floor while defensively they are allowing 70.5 points and their opponents are shooting 43.1 percent. Fresno State struggled against the better teams over the course of the season and feasted on the lesser teams.

The Old Dominion Monarchs have started the CBI with two wins but this is the first time they take it to the road. ODU beat South Dakota State by seven points to start the CBI and then pounded Radford 23 points. Aaron Bacote leads the Monarchs averaging 15.7 points per game. Dimitri Batten is averaging 10.9 points, Richard Ross is averaging 10 points and 7.1 rebounds, and Keenan Palmore is averaging 9.9 points. Old Dominion is averaging 64.2 points and they are shooting 43 percent while defensively they are allowing 64.3 points and their opponents are shooting 41.8 percent. Old Dominion is 6-11 away from home this year.
Fresno State is 5-1 against the spread against Conference USA, 5-2 against the spread in their last seven home games, and 7-3 against the spread following a win. Old Dominion is 4-1 against the spread in their last five games, 1-5 against the spread in their last six road games, and 5-1 against the spread in their last six non-conference games.
