A spot in the Elite Eight goes to the winner of the Baylor Bears and Wisconsin Badgers Thursday.
After falling in the Big 12 tournament to Iowa State, Baylor has proven to be worthy of an NCAA At-Large berth with a 14 point win over Nebraska in the opener before stomping a mud hole in Creighton by an 85-55 count. This one was over soon after the opening tip with the Bears racing out to a 20 point lead heading to the locker room and never letting up. The starting five did most of the damage with Isaiah Austin and Brady Heslip tossing in 17 points apiece followed by 14 point efforts from Kenny Chery and Cory Jefferson with Royce O'Neale adding ten points, five yanks and eight helpers. The Bears didn't miss often on 60.8% from the floor.

Wisconsin was dominant at both ends of the floor as they opened the NCAA tournament by dismantling an over matched American squad 75-35 that was loosely competitive for the first 15 minutes. Second round opponent Oregon preoved to be a bigger challenge that wasn't decided until the final minutes. The Badgers trailed by 12 after 20 ninutes before a decisive 48-28 second half run put this in the win column. Both teams sank shots in the 48%-49% range with Wisky sinking a few more threes and free throws. Frank Kaminsky gave the Badgers 19 points and five yanks with Traveon Jackson tossing in 16 while snaring eight pulls and posting five assists. Josh Gasser netted 13 while Sam Dekker and Ben Brust dropped 12 points each.
Wisconsin is far more offensively oriented in years past and have not been as stout defensively. That leaves the door wide open for a Baylor club that is hot and has no problem lighting up the scoreboard...
