The Washington State Cougars look to even their record when they visit the Texas Christian Horned Frogs.
The Washington State Cougars were picked to finish at or near the bottom of the PAC 12 so a good start to the season is what they need. It didn't start good in a 65-52 defeat at Texas El Paso in their opener. The defense put forth a winnable effort but the offense was a differant story. The Miners were held to 35% shooting but sank nine more free throws and were +11 on the backboards. The Cougars struggled to compete on 35% from the floor with 21 turnovers giving UTEP nine more looks at the basket. Davonte Lacy paced the Washington State offense with 15 points and seven pulls on 3-15 with Ike Iroegbu and Que Johnson tossing in ten points apiece with Johnson hauling in eleven rebounds but a few more players needed to step up.

The Texas Christian Horned Frogs are trying to right the ship from a poor 2013-14 season and at least for a day it was mission accomplished as they opened the year with a 71-54 rout of visiting Prairie View A&M Friday night. Even though Horned Frogs held the Panthers to 39% shooting and played well overall defensively the offensive side of the ball also played well aside from 16 turnovers. TCU connected at 45% from the field and held a 22-9 edge at the charity stripe while dominating the backboards 44-16. It wasn't a perfect offensive performance as the Horned Frogs were 3-15 on threes and 22-39 at the charity stripe which will cost the team wins if not corrected.
WSU are 1-6-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall and are 3-10 ATS in their last 13 vs. Big 12 while WSU are 6-17-3 ATS in their last 26 road games. For Texas Christian the Horned Frogs are 20-46 ATS in their last 66 home games. If you look both teams you will notice that both have struggled to win and cover spreads so you really have to think twice when backing teams that struggle in all phases of the game. I have no clue looking at the numbers so I'll take the points...
