South Carolina vs. Baylor - 11/18/14 College Basketball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Baylor Bears have been making noise in the NCAA Tournament for the past several years and while they have some new names they look to be very tough once again. Baylor opened their season pouding McNeese State by 41 points. Deng Deng played just 16 minutes but scored 16 points to lead the Bears hitting eight of his nine shots. Lester Medford had 13 points, Johnathan Motley 10 points, and Rico Gathers had nine points and 12 rebounds. Baylor shot 51.7 percent from the floor but just 56.5 percent from the free throw line but they beat up the Cowboys on the boards outrebounding them 47-23. Baylor looks to be a strong and athletic team once again.

South Carolina is 4-1 against the spread in their last five games, 4-0 against the spread in their last four non-conference games, and 7-2-1 against the spread following a win. Baylor is 10-4-1 against the spread in their last 15 games, 11-5 against the spread in their last 16 non-conference games, and 6-2 against the spread against a team with a winning record. The underdog has covered the point spread the alst five times these teams have met.

Baylor is just a mild favorite here but they are the deeper and more established team and until South Carolina shows me they can play with a quality team I have to take the better teams against them.
