The New Mexico Lobos and George Mason Patriots play Friday night at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico.
The New Mexico Lobos lost their first game on Thursday against the Boston College Eagles and drop to 2-1 on the season. New Mexico is a team that relies heavily on its defense and has yet to allow more than 69 points in its first three games. Despite the loss to Boston College, New Mexico forced 16 turnovers and allowed 28.6 percent shooting from deep. Offensively, Cullen Neal has scored 51 points and has 11 assists in the first three games while Hugh Greenwood has 35 points and six rebounds in his last two games. Deshawn Delaney is 7-12 from the field with nine rebounds in his last two games and J.J. N'Ganga is 5-8 from the field on the season. Losing to Boston College has to be very disappointing for the New Mexico Lobos, but this is a proud team that will look to bounce back in a big way.

The George Mason Patriots dropped to 1-2 on the season with a loss to the West Virginia Mountaineers. George Mason played no defense during the game, allowing 44.4 percent shooting and 53 points in the first half. That performance was a shocker to say the least considering George Mason usually wins games with its defense and just held a solid Princeton team to just 60 points. Offensively, Patrick Holloway has 58 points and seven rebound in the first three games while Marquise Moore has 12 points and eight turnovers in his last two games. Like New Mexico, the George Mason Patriots can’t bepleased with their performance Thursday and will be looking for a big bounce back showing here.
After being embarrased on Thursday, expect the Lobos to actually show up here and win by double digits. George Mason can't hang with New Mexico at either end of the court.
