The Montana State Bobcats and Kentucky Wildcats play Sunday afternoon at the Rupp Arena.
The Montana State Bobcats are still looking for their first win and will play now their fourth straight road game. On the season, Montana State is averaging 62.7 points on 39.2 percent shooting and is allowing 82 points on 51.2 percent shooting. Danny Robison leads Montana State with 12.3 points and 5.3 rebounds while Marcus Colbert is averaging 11.3 points and 5.7 rebounds. Michael Dison is the third Montana State player averaging double-digit points and Blake Brumwell has been a spark at both ends of the floor in limited playing time. The Montana State Bobcats have some talent, especially in Colbert, who does a little bit of everything for the Bobcats. But with a new head coach and a lack of depth and rebounding, it’s going to be a rebuilding year for Montana State.
USA TODAY Sports
The Kentucky Wildcats remain unbeaten and look like the best team in the country right now. On the season, Kentucky is averaging 79.2 points on 47.6 percent shooting and is allowing 50.5 points on 30.7 percent shooting. Aaron Harrison leads Kentucky with 10.5 points on 38.5 percent shooting and Dakari Johnson is averaging 10.3 points and 8.5 rebounds. Andrew Harrison leads Kentucky with 3.3 assists and Willie Cauley-Stein is grabbing 6.3 rebounds. The Kentucky Wildcats’ strength is their unbelievable size, as they’re averaging 43.3 rebounds and more than nine blocks per game. Kentucky is a lot deeper than last season and will be a lot tougher on the defensive end with the amount of size and length they have.
The Bobcats are 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 road games and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Wildcats are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 home games and 9-3-1 ATS in their last 13 games overall.
Montana State has nothing for Kentucky. While I hate laying this many points, this is going to be an old fashioned blowout. Asking the Wildcats to win by 40 points or so should be no big deal.
