The Providence Friars and Notre Dame Fighting Irish play Sunday afternoon at the Mohegan Sun Arena.
The Providence Friars aren’t missing a beat and have began the season 4-0, which includes a dominant victory Saturday over Florida State. The Providence offense has produced 168 points in its last two games and is coming off a performance where it shot 53.7 percent from the field. LaDontae Henton has 46 points and 12 rebounds in his last two games while Kris Dunn has 27 points and 23 assists in his last two games. Freshman Jalen Lindsey is also coming off his best game yet with 15 points and a rebound. Many expected the Providence Friars to take a step backwards with the loss of Bryce Cotton, but this team hasn’t shown many flaws and is proving to be one of the better teams in the Big East early on.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are also 4-0 with their 81-68 victory over Massachusetts on Saturday. In the win, Notre Dame shot 58.5 percent from the field and had 13 steals while the defense held the Minutemen to 42.9 percent shooting and forced 18 turnovers. Zach Auguste has 32 points and 17 rebounds in his last two contests and Demetrius Jackson has 15 assists all season. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have been putting on a clinic on both sides of the ball early on and could really start turning heads with a big win here.
The Fighting Irish are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall and 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record. The Friars are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 neutral site games and 7-2 ATS in their last 9 Sunday games. The Fighting Irish are 2-5 ATS in the last 7 meetings and the underdog is 6-2 ATS in the last 8 meetings.
Not sure how Providence can be this big of a dog. I love the Friars in this spot.
