The Arizona Wildcats and the Missouri Tigers face off on Monday in Maui for a first round game in the Maui Invitational college basketball tournament.
The Arizona Wildcats are off to a 3-0 start to the season and they have looked very much like one of the top teams in the country. The Missouri Tigers opened their season with a bad loss to UMKC but since then they have reeled off two wins and doing so in convincing fashion. Missouri is averaging 65 points per game while shooting 42.6 percent from the floor including 34.4 percent from beyond the three-point arc while defensively they are allowing 58 points and their opponents are shooting 36.8 percent. Montaque Gill-Caesar leads Missouri averaging 16.3 points and 5.3 rebounds, Wes Clark is averaging 14.3 points and 4.0 rebounds, and Johnathan Williams III is averaging 8.7 points and 4.7 rebounds. Missouri averages 7.0 stals and 4.7 blocks per game.
Arizona is 1-4 against the spread in their last five games, 4-0 against the spread in Monday games, and 1-4 against the spread in their last five neutral site games. Missouri is 4-0 against the spread against the Pac-12, 13-6-1 against the spread in their last 20 neutral site games, and 3-12-1 against the spread following a win.
This looks like a lot of points especially for a tournament game but Arizona looks like a beast this year and I like for them to come up big here.
