The Iowa Hawkeyes hope to bounce back from back-to-back losses to Texas and Syracuse. On the season, Iowa is averaging 74.2 points on 42.9 percent shooting and is allowing 62.2 points on 36.7 percent shooting. Aaron White leads Iowa with 16.8 points and 8.8 rebounds while Jarrod Uthoff is averaging 13.3 points on 50 percent shooting. Mike Gesell leads Iowa with 4.3 assists and Anthony Clemmons is shooting 45.5 percent from downtown. The Iowa Hawkeyes lost to Syracuse by just three points and is playing well on both ends of the court. Iowa is shooting 74.3 percent from the free throw line and is averaging 42.3 rebounds per game, making the Hawkeyes a frustrating team to play at both ends of the floor when they’re actually playing to their potential.
The Waves are 15-7 ATS in their last 22 road games and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 non-conference games. The Hawkeyes are 17-8 ATS in their last 25 non-conference games and 1-10 ATS in their last 11 games overall.
Pepperdine is off to a fine start but Iowa at home is a different level of comp. The Hawkeyes are capable of being an above-average team and should handle Pepperdine fairly easily.
