The Georgetown Hoyas and Florida Gators play Wednesday night at the Imperial Arena.
The Georgetown Hoyas are 3-0 and will get their first test of the season in this game. On the season, Georgetown is averaging 80.3 points on 50.9 percent shooting and is allowing 63.3 points on 34.6 percent shooting. Joshua Smith leads Georgetown with 17.3 points and 8.3 rebounds while L.J. Peak is averaging 15 points on 60 percent shooting. D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera leads the Hoyas with 4.3 assists and Jabril Trawick is shooting 66.7 percent from the field. The Georgetown Hoyas are an experienced team that’s eager to return to its glory days of a force in the Big East. With one of the better players in the conference in Smith-Rivera and a dominant big man in Smith, this is a huge matchup for Georgetown if it hopes to bring some of that shine back to the program.

The Florida Gators are off to a shaky 2-1 start and play their first game since Friday. On the season, Florida is averaging 65.3 points on 43.9 percent shooting and is allowing 56.7 points on 37.1 percent shooting. Michael Frazier II leads Florida with 16 points on 35.7 percent shooting from beyond the arc and Dorian Finney-Smith is averaging 15 points and five rebounds. Kasey Hill leads the Gators with 4.3 assists and Jacob Kurtz is grabbing 9.3 rebounds per game. The Florida Gators are still that elite defensive team they’ve been in year’s past, but the new players are still struggling in their expanded roles offensively. Florida can go stretches without scoring and is averaging less than 13 assists per game. Finney-Smith and Eli Carter are questionable for this game with injuries.
The Hoyas are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 Wednesday games. The Gators are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 vs. Big East and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall.
Getting the Florida Gators as nearly a pick em is a steal in my book. Even with the rocky start, Florida is still the better and more talented team than georgetown. Assuming Finny-Smith is able to play, give me the Gators for the victory.
