The Austin Peay Governors and Brown Bears play Thanksgiving afternoon at the Orleans Arena.
The Austin Peay Governors look to snap a three-game losing streak, as they’re struggling at both ends. On the season, Austin Peay is averaging 65 points on 41 percent shooting and is allowing 78.2 points on 48.1 percent shooting. Chris Freeman leads Austin Peay with 13.8 points on 60 percent shooting and Chris Horton is averaging 13.2 points and 8.6 rebounds. Khalil Davis is dishing out 3.2 assists and Zavion Williams is shooting 46.2 percent from downtown. The Austin Peay Governors have solid scoring depth with six players averaging at least six points per game but their 15 turnovers per game and lousy defense has been their downfall. A lot of the issues that hurt Austin Peay last season remain and it’ll be a long season in the OVC if they continue.

The Brown Bears have lost four straight games and are horrible defensively. On the season, Brown is averaging 65 points on 41.9 percent shooting and is allowing 74.8 points on 45.6 percent shooting. Leland King leads Brown with 16.6 points and 7.4 rebounds while Cedric Kuakumensah is averaging 10.4 points on 50 percent shooting. Rafael Maia is Brown’s third player to average double-digit points and Steven Spieth is producing 3.2 assists. The Brown Bears are supposed to be one of the better team in the Ivy league this season but have allowed 78 or more points in three straight games and are turning the ball over 17 times per game. Brown has got to get things going or this season is really going to get ugly.
The Governors are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win. The Bears are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss and 0-6 ATS in their last 6 neutral site games.
This is one of those games you should avoid. Both teams are playing some really crappy basketball. However, Brown is the least crappy and we're getting the low chalk. Take the Bears.
