The Mississippi State Bulldogs and TCU Horned Frogs play Saturday night at the American Bank Center.
The Mississippi State Bulldogs are undefeated and looking to be a surprise team in the SEC. On the season, MSU is averaging 75.2 points on 52.3 percent shooting and is allowing 59.2 points on 37.3 percent shooting. Gavin Ware leads the Bulldogs with 14.4 points and 7.6 rebounds while Roquez Johnson is averaging 14.2 points on 63 percent shooting. Fred Thomas is the third Mississippi State player to average double-digit points and Trivante Bloodman is averaging 4.8 assists. The Mississippi State Bulldogs have been a solid offensive team out of the gate with five players averaging at least eight points and the team shooting 74.2 percent from the free throw line. But Mississippi State’s defense is producing 4.4 blocks and averaging 41.2 rebounds. This is a team to watch.

The TCU Horned Frogs are also unbeaten and clicking on both sides. On the season, TCU is averaging 79.2 points on 49 percent shooting and is allowing 55.2 points on 35.6 percent shooting. Kyan Anderson leads TCU with 14.5 points and four assists while Kenrich Williams is averaging 8.7 points and 5.8 rebounds. Brandon Parrish is shooting 50 percent from beyond the arc and Chris Washburn is grabbing 5.5 rebounds per game. The TCU Horned Frogs are also a deep offensive team with eight players averaging six or more points and shooting 40.4 percent from downtown as a team. Defensively, TCU is averaging more than six blocks and six steals and has allowed 70 or more points just once this season.
