The Tulsa Golden Hurricane go on the road to challenge the #10 Wichita State Shockers on Saturday.
The Tulsa Golden Hurricane have plenty of returnin experience so the question is whether that equals winning and only time will tell. The Golden Hurricane had rattled off three consecutive victories until Oklahoma State ended the good times in a 73-58 decision. The Cowboys exploded for a 45-30 lead after 20 minutes and Tulsa never was able to cut in to the lead with OSU shooting a scorching hot 52% from the floor which made the Golden Hurricane 35% a losing effort. Shaquille Harrison tossed in a team high 17 points before fouling out in 30 minutes while James Woodard scored 13 points and snagged seven boards followed by a 12 point effort from Rashad Ray. The issue was six other players contributed just 16 points.

The Wichita State Shockers are at it again with a top ten ranking despite losing some productive talent. Reload and challenge for the National Championship seems to be the rule for this team and it's been so far, so good with the team out to a 3-0 start over sub division Newman which turned out to be nothing more then a scrimmage for the Shockers who led by 34 points at the half. The Jets were limited to 32% accuracy with the Shockers connecting at 52% with 14 more looks at the basket primarily due to 16 offensive rebounds. WSU cleared the bench with a trio of double digit scorers with Ron Baker leading the way with 18 points followed by Darius Carter and Fred VanFleet scoring 15 and 12 points respectively while six others tallied between 6-9 points.
The under is 7-2 in TLSA last 9 Sat. games and is 14-5 in TLSA last 19 overall while going 14-5 in TLSA last 19 non-conference games. For Wichita State the over is 6-2 in WICH last 8 home games while Wichita State are 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 Sat. games. I know the Golden Hurricane have plenty of guys back and experience is always a good thing so we'll see if it helps against a Shockers squad that generally operates like a finely tuned machine. I'm not happy about the chalk but I feel Wichita State is tough enough to get the job done...
