San Francisco struggled from long range (3-11; 27.3%) however, shot an outstanding 64.9% (24-37) from the field. Leading the way for the Dons was Kruize Pinkins who had was 9-11 from the field and a perfect 7-7 from the FT line for 26 points. Also contributing for San Francisco were Mark Tollefesen who had 15 pts, 3 reb and Tim Derksen who added 17 pts, 6 reb. The Colorado Buffaloes defeated the Lipscomb Bisons 84-75 this past Sunday night to advance to 4-1 on the season. The Buffaloes allowed the Bisons to shoot the three throughout the game as the Lipscomb was 13-33 from long-range, however was able to secure the victory by shooting 55.1$ from the field and outrebounding the Bisons by a 41-27 margin. Leading the way for the Buffaloes was big-man Josh Scott who had a nice double-double with 29 points (10-12 FG; 5-6 FT), and 13 rebounds. Josh Scott has been one of the best in the country at putting the ball in the basketball as he is currently shooting 68.3% from the field which ranks 8th in the country. Along with Scott who is averaging 17.2 ppg and 8.6 reb, Head Coach Tad Boyle will depend on Xavier Johnson (11.8 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 1.2 apg) and Asika Booker (9.4 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 2.8 apg) to lead the Buffaloes this season. On the season, Colorado has been getting it done on the defense end as they are holding opponents to 58.2 ppg (ranked 41st) on 25.7% shooting (ranked 26th) and grabbing 30.8 defense rebounds (ranked 7th).
The Dons are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a S.U. win and 42-18-2 ATS in their last 62 road games. The Buffaloes are 6-2-1 ATS in their last 9 games following a ATS loss however, just 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a losing road record.
Tad Boyle has an experienced team in his Buffalos along with an absolute stud in Josh Scott. Although Colorado is a tough place to place, they do at times struggle hitting shots and with San Francisco size, it will be difficult for the Buffaloes to get into the lane for some easy shots and to get rebounds. I don’t see the Buffaloes losing this game, but I think covering by a double-digit number is going to be more then they can handle. Take the Dons and the points in this one.
