Crisler Arena and the Michigan Wolverines play host to the New Jersey Tech Highlanders Saturday afternoon.
The New Jersey Tech Highlanders are in limbo right now as an independent and will likely find a conference next season. Whatever the case, the Highlanders are in need of stronger performances at both ends of the floor although this team has performed surprisingly well at time. After winning at Duquesne the Highlanders fell flat in a 71-67 defeat at Massachsetts Lowell where they never recovered from a 13 point deficit at the half. The River Hawks were just the better shooting squad with a 44%-39% edge with a 10-19 effort from long range being the difference. Damon Lynn pumped in a game high 24 points with Tim Coleman and Winfield Willis tossing in eleven points each with a combined ten rebounds.

The Michigan Wolverines are on the national stage once again at #16 and I'm sure they want to climb even higher. The Wolverines improved to 6-1 following a 68-65 decision over Syracuse on Tuesday. Michigan saw the Orange sink half their shots but Cuse shot themselves in the foot with a whopping 19 turnovers. That gave the 38.5% shooting Wolverines 17 more looks at the basket which were put to good use with eleven bombs being the key. At the final buzzer the Wolverines placed five players in double figures with Zak Irvin leading the way with a contest high 18 points. Caris LeVert and Ricky Doyle added 12 points apiece while Spike Albrecht and Kameron Chatman combined for 21 points and nine rebounds each.
The Wolverines are 13-3-1 ATS in their last 17 games following a ATS loss while the Wolverines are 9-3-1 ATS in their last 13 Saturday games. Michigan are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 home games and 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. New Jersey Tech doesn't have a chance in this one as they are outmanned everywhere. The spread is high and Michigan covers if they want but I don't know if they will keep their foot on the gas for 40 minutes. I'd say try the over if its available...
