The Boise State Broncos are 4-2 this season but they have lost two of their last three losing to NC State and Wisconsin. BSU is averaging 70.7 points and they are shooting 42.8 percent from the floor including 38.7 percent from beyond the three-point arc while defensively they are allowing 70.7points and their opponents are shooting 45.5 percent. Anthony Dimic leads the Broncos averaging 15.5 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. Derrick Marks is averaging 14 points, Mikey Thompson is averaging 10.8 points, and Nick Duncan is averaging 9.5 points. Boise has played the ninth ranked schedule in the nation.
St. Mary’s is 5-0-1 against the spread in their last six home games, 3-0-1 against the spread in their last four games, and 5-2-1 against the spread against the Mountain West Conference. Boise State is 4-1 against the spread in their last five road games, 4-10 against the spread following a loss, and 8-17 against the spread against a team with a winning record.
Boise has played a tough schedule but when they play the toughest teams they haven’t held up and though I don’t put St. Mary’s in that category the number here is within reason for the Gaels to cover.
