The Line: Tulane Green Wave +3 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

The Tulane Green Wave play host to the Mississippi State Bulldogs in Saturday action.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs finished last in the SEC a season ago and are picked to be near the basement once again so every win in the early going is big. The Bulldogs were flying high with a 5-0 record before suffering a 61-52 loss at the hands of TCU on Saturday. The Horned Frogs used 49% shooting to open up a nine point bulge in the first half and MSU could get no closer. The Bulldogs were even enough in most areas except shooting where they never found the range with just 36.5% which was decisive. Mississippi State received a game high 14 points from Fred Thomas who sank three bombs while Gavin Ware and Trivante Bloodman scored eleven points each but nobody else scored more then five.

Tulane Green Wave vs. Mississippi State Bulldogs - 12/6/14 College Basketball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Tulane Green Wave are hoping to make an impact in their first season in the AAC and their early season success says that could happen although their 6-1 record has been built on a +300 schedule. The Green Wave dropped the sason opener to Wake Forest and then won six straight capped off by an 83-70 victory at Loyola-Chicago as a six point underdog on Wednesday. The hot shooting Green Wave were up ten at the break and held the Ramblers at arm's length the rest of the way. Tulane nailed shots at almost 53% to hold off the 49% shooting Ramblers with the big difference coming at the stripe with eight more makes. Trevante Drye led all scorers with 18 points and six yanks on 7-7 shooting with Jay Hook coming through with 15 points and nine rebounds. Payton Henson and Jonathan Stark scored 14 and 13 points respectively with Louis Dabney chipping in with nine points.

The Bulldogs are 6-2-1 ATS in their last 9 games following a ATS loss while going Bulldogs are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. Mississippi State are 11-5-1 ATS in their last 17 games following a S.U. loss and are 4-10-1 ATS in their last 15 road games. The Green Wave are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 vs. Southeastern and are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 Saturday games. Tulane are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games following a S.U. win and are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win while going 2-8 ATS in their last 10 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. I think Tulane might be better then people think but Mississippi State has played a tougher SOS so slight edge to the Bulldogs but something tells me Tulane...
