The Colorado Buffalos will travel to the Stageman Coliseum this Sunday afternoon to face the Georgia Bulldogs.

The Buffalos improved to 5-1 on the season with a 72-55 victory over the San Francisco Dons this past Wednesday night. The Buffalos got outrebounded by the Dons 33-24, however, shot 50.9% from the field and 50.0% (9-18) from three-point range. Leading the way for the Buffalos was Askia Booker who scored 16 of his 21 points (8-12 FG) in the second half to help the Buffalos pull away in this one. On the season, the Buffalos have been led by one of the best big man in the country in Josh Scott who is averaging 16.3 ppg, 8.2 rpg, and 1.7 apg. Josh Scott has been one of the most efficient shooters in the country as he individually ranks 9th with a 66.0 FG%. Also contributing for the Buffalos have been Xavier Johnson (11.8 ppg, 4.4 rpg), Askia Booker (11.3 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 2.8 apg), and Wesley Gordon (7.2 ppg, 5.8 rpg). The Buffalos have been playing solid defense as they are giving up an average of 57.7 ppg (ranked 32nd) on 37.4% shooting (43rd), however, have been committing an average of 15.7 fouls per game which ranks 34th in the country.

Georgia Bulldogs vs. Colorado Buffaloes - 12/7/14 College Basketball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Georgia Bulldogs snapped a 2 game losing streak with a 86-55 victory over the Chattanooga Mocs this past Tuesday to improve to 4-3 on the season. The Bulldogs used a solid defensive effort in their victory as they held Chattanooga to just 31.0% shooting and outrebounded the Mocs 39-24. Leading the way for the Bulldogs was Kenny Gaines who poured in 25 points on 9 of 11 shooting. Georgia played some stiff competition in the NIT Season Tip-Off which included close losses to Gonzaga and Minnesota. Currently Georgia has an RPI of 82 and SOS of 72. Leading the way for the Bulldogs this season have been Marcus Thornton (14.7 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 1.0 apg), Kenny Gaines (12.3 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 1.7 apg), and Charles Mann (12.6 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 3.9 apg). Offensively, Georgia has been averaging 76.1 ppg (ranked 59th) on 48.2% shooting (ranked 43rd). The Bulldogs have done a nice job on the glass as they are averaging 28.4 defensive rpg (ranked 27th) and 38.7 total rpg (ranked 71st)

The Buffalos are 11-3 ATS in their last 14 Sunday games and 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14 non-conference games. The Bulldogs are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games against the Pac-12 and 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 overall games.

Colorado has rebounded nicely after their awful 56-33 loss at Wyoming a few weeks ago, however, their past three wins have all come from the comfort of their home court. Georgia lost to some tough competition early in the season, but have been very competitive. The Buffalos are getting a few points in this one, however, until Colorado can show that they can play on the road, I’m going to stay away from them. Take Georgia at home to cover this small spread.
