The #24 Northern Iowa Panthers go on the road to take the floor with the Denver Pioneers at Magness Arena.
When I look at the Missouri Valley my thoughts are Wichita State and everyone else although the Northern Iowa Panthers are making themselves known as they cracked the top 25 with an 8-0 start behind decent scoring and a defense that is allowing a mere 55 points. The Panthers were pushed to the limits in a 71-65 victory over George Mason with the defense rising to the occasion by allowing 35% shooting and forcing 15 turnovers. That was almost not enough with UNI connecting at 37.7% and giving the ball away 13 times. Veteran Seth Tuttle paced the UNI offense with 16 points and eight boards on 5-8 followed by Paul Jesperson with 12 points and five pulls. Bennett Koch and Nate Buss added eleven and ten points while Jeremy Morgan chipped in with nine points.

The Denver Pioneers begin their second season in the Summit League and are tabbed to be one of the top guns because four starters are back. The defense first Pioneers are diving up less then 61 points and need that type of effort with the offense averaging 62 points and missing do everything Chris Udofia and his 12+ points. Denver is looking to build on their 64-48 win over Texas A&M CC on Saturday. The defense was stifling with the Islanders limited to 35% from the floor while Denver lit it up with 55.6% marksmanship and 8-20 from long range. Cam Griffin tossed in a game high 16 points and snagged five boards followed by Nate Engesser with 13. Brett Olsen scored eleven and handed out five assists while Bryant Rucker and Marcus Byrd scored eight points each.
The Panthers are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record and are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Wednesday games. UNI are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600 while going are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games. The Pioneers are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of greater than .600 while going 11-2 ATS in their last 13 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. Denver are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. Missouri Valley and are 5-12-1 ATS in their last 18 non-conference games. Denver is very tough at home but I feel if UNI is top 25 worthy then they win...
