The St John's Red Storm hope to continue their strong early season play when the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights visit.
The Fairleigh Dickinson Rams began the season with a one point victory over St Joseph's in a surprise that opened a few eyes. The Knights looked a little overmatched in a 75-57 at Notre Dame where the Fighting Irish led by ten at the half and didn't give the Knights a chance to comeback. The Knights typically don't light up the scoreboard and that didn't happen on 37.7% from the floor. On the flip side the Fighting Irish had zero problem making shots at 50% with 14 more free throws and a +14 on the glass. Fairleigh Dickinson received 16 points from Mustafaa Jones on 6-12 from the floor including 4-5 from beyond the arc. Marques Towns tossed in eleven and Matt McDonald chipped in with nine points and six boards.

The St John's Red Storm will be trying to be a factor in the Big East which hasn't happened in recent memory. This might be the year as the Red Storm have raced to a 6-1 record with the momentum of back to back wins after a 69-57 victory at Syracuse on Saturday. The Orange held a slight shooting advantage 39%-37.7% but a 9-3 edge on threes and ten more free throws more then made up for a small shooting difference. The Red Storm received a game high 24 points from D'Angelo Harrison on 6-12 shooting with four three pointers while Phil Greene IV adding 18 points. Rysheed Jordan tossed in eleven points and grabbed six boards while Sir'Dominic Pointer contributing nine points, eight pulls and five helpers.
The Knights are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600 while going 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record. Fairleigh Dickinson are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games and are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Red Storm are 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a S.U. win and are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Wednesday games. St John's are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 home games while going are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. Not a great feel for this on but in my view if both teams play their best then St John's would be my choice...
