The Niagara Purple Eagles look for their second win when they visit the Davidson Wildcats.
The Niagara Purple Eagles have had a hard time the past several years in getting their offense and defense on the same page. It doesn't seem to be the year that changes as the Purple Eagles have been outscored 70-58 on the way to a 1-5 record. Niagara dropped number four in a row by a 77-64 count to Canisius. The Golden Griffins broke open a tie game with a 43-30 run in the second half. Niagara shot the ball at 44% but turned it over 16 times and Canisius tookadvantage with over 49% from the floor with six more free throws to get the win. Matt Scott gave the Purple Eagles 13 points on perfect 5-5 shooting with Wesley Meyers tossing in eleven while the threesome of Rayvon Harris, Emilie Blackman and Karonn Davis scored nine points apiece.

The Davidson Wildcats are a mystery to fans of the Atlantic Ten because nobody knows how this team matches up in their first season after dominating the SoCon for years. So far the Wildcats have dominated their non conference schedule to the tune of 7-1 behind a ton of scoring. The Wildcats have racked up five consecutive victories following a 110-99 shootout at Montana on Wednesday where very little defense was on display. The Grizzlies sank shots at 56% with Davidson connecting at 50% and taking control with a 34-22 advantage at the stripe. Jack Gibbs led the offensive explosion with 28 points and eight assists on 7-13 while Brian Sullivan tossed in 22 points. Tyler Kalinoski followed with 21 points and seven boards while Jordan Barham and Peyton Aldridge added 16 and 14 points with not one shooting less then 50%.
The Purple Eagles are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a ATS loss while going are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a double-digit loss at home. Niagara are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game and are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600. The Wildcats are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 non-conference games and are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall. Davidson are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 Saturday games and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS win. I just think Davidson is out to prove they belong in the Atlantic Ten and a 40 minute performance will get the job done here...
