The Army Black Knights take their big offense to the west coast to challenge the USC Trojans.
The Army Black Knights are not known for their prowess on the hardwood but they are penciled in as one of the top squads in the Patriot which is an acomplishment itself. If the Black Knights do make a run at the conference crown it will be because of their offense which puts up 78 points per game. Army dropped to 6-2 on the season following an 80-73 defeat at the hands of visiting Bryant in which they couldn't overcome an eleven point first half deficit. Both teams sank about half their looks with the Bears 8-3 edge from distance securing the victory. Leading scorer Kyle Wilson tossed in 19 points followed by a 15 point, eleven rebound effort from Kevin Ferguson. Dylan Cox added 14 points and seven helpers with Tanner Plomb chipping in with 12.

The Southern Cal Trojans haven't been receiving many accolades in recen seasons but after a 6-3 start perhaps this is the year. They need to boost their offense but with four consecutive victories it's hard to be too critical. The offense looked just fine in an 89-84 decision over visiting Uah State as a six point favorite. This wasn't anything more then a little better shooting accounting for a few more field goals. USC held a 50%-47.5% edge for three extra baskets but the Trojans made their own life difficult with a 15-27 mark at the foul line. The Southern Cal attack received 23 points and six pulls from Nikola Jovanovic with Jordan McLaughlin right on his heelswith 21 points and five assists. Strahinja Gavrilovic and Katin Reinhardt combined for 21 points as the top six players totaled 81 points.
The Black Knights are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 road games while going 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. Army are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 non-conference games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 Saturday games. The Trojans are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record and are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss. USC are 16-36-2 ATS in their last 54 home games and 7-20 ATS in their last 27 Saturday games. Army is obviously not a household name in the basketball world but I believe they have the offense to stay within the number...
