The Seton Hall Pirates make the long trip south to pay the South Florida Bulls a visit on Thursday.
Seton Hall hasn't reached the meat of their schedule but from what I have seen they might surprise a few people if they haven't already. The Pirates rebounded from their first loss to Witchita State to pound visiting Saint Peter's 67-52 as an eleven point favorite Sunday. This was a 12 point game at the half which was enough to put this in the win column with the Peacocks held to 36.5% from the floor and the Pirates hitting at 43%. Saint Peter's couldn't control Brandon Mobley who scored 21 points and grabbed seven boards on 8-13 from the floor. Starling Gibbs was next in line with 12 points on 4-8 while three others added seven points apiece including Angelo Delgado who hauled in 12 rebounds.

The South Florida Bulls head in to their second season in the AAC looking to make a greater impact this time around. If so the Bulls will need to establish some consistency at both ends of the floor as both can be a bit all over at times. Right now USF just needs a win with a 68-63 defeat at the hands of visiting Georgia Southern leaving the club staring at three losses in a row. The Eagles sank shots at 44% and gave the ball away 15 times but the Bulls connected at 41.8%and shot themselves in the foot with 17 turnovers and a 2-21 performance from long range. Chris Perry was South Florida's top gun with 16 points an 12 rebounds on 7-10 shooting while Dinero Mercurius and Nehemias Morillo added 13 and eleven points with Morillo snagging seven boards.
The Pirates are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games following a S.U. win and 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS win. Seton Hall are 8-0 ATS in their last 8 games overall and are 12-1 ATS in their last 13 non-conference games. The Bulls are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 vs. Big East and are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. South Florida are 7-21 ATS in their last 28 home games and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of greater than .600. Seton Hall has been a cover machine so I will go with the hotter team...
