The UCLA Bruins take the floor with the top ranked Kentucky Wildcats in the CBS Sports Classic.
The UCLA Bruins and their top 20 offense have built a 8-3 record almost a third of the way in to the season. The Bruins saw a four game winning streak come to an end in an 87-74 loss to Gonzaga who is no stranger to lighting up the scoreboard. The Bruins fell behind by eleven at the half and never cut in to the deficit after that with the Zags firing away at over 58% from the floor. The Bruins countered with just under 42% marksmanship but couldn't keep up with the better shooting team. Bryce Alford was the Bruins best offensive option with 23 points on 7-14 including five bombs with Isaac Hamilton next in line with 18 points on 6-16 from the field. Kevon Looney followed with 14 points and seven rebounds while Norman Powell rounded out the top scorers with 12 points.

The Kentucky Wildcats have that bullseye on the back of their uniforms which means the number one team in the country will be getting every team's best shot. Obviously nobody has been able to touch the Wildcats with an 11-0 record with each win coming by double digits with Columbia losing by ten being the closest margin. UK is coming off of an impressive 84-70 win versus North Carolina where they made a 15 point lead after 20 minutes hold up. The Tar Heels shot the ball well enough at 45% but that didn't compare to the Wildcats 56% accuracy with a 23-10 advantage from the stripe. When the final buzzer sounded Willie Cauley-Stein and Devin Booker tossed in 25 points apiece while Aaron Harrison and Andrew Harrison netted 14 and eleven points.
The Bruins are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a double-digit loss at home. UCLA are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games overall and are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 non-conference games. The Wildcats are 8-1-1 ATS in their last 10 neutral site games and 11-5-1 ATS in their last 17 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. Kentucky are 11-5-1 ATS in their last 17 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record and 13-6-1 ATS in their last 20 games overall. When I see all the points up for grabs I start foaming at the mouth but in my view these are the type of games the Wildcats like to 'show off'. I hope the lose but...
