McCann Field House and the Marist Red Foxes host the Saint Joseph's Hawks in a MAAC vs. A-10 battle.
The St. Joseph's Hawks are treading water in the early going which isn't too awfully bad considering the amount of talent that was lost. The Hawks defend well enough to win but 58 points on offense isn't going to win games over the long term. St Joes did put together a great performance at both ends of the floor in a 68-42 of visiting Loyola-MD. The Greyhounds never found the shooting touch with 28% from the field including a 2-16 mark from beyond the arc. In contrast the Hawks hit at 47% and sank seven more free throws. DeAndre Bembry led all scorers with 21 points and seven boards followed by Chris Wilson netting 13 points with Isaiah Miles chipping in with ten points.

The Marist Red Foxes are obviously having issues at both ends of the floor at 1-9 and the injuries to two of their top players hasn't helped. The Red Foxes season has already been put in a precarious position and with the injuries to Chavaughn Lewis and Khallid Hart the year might be lost. Marist has dropped five in a row after a 92-77 defeat at VMI who pened up a 14 point lead after 20 minutes and never let the visitors back in. Marist shot the ball well at 47.5% with the Keydets hitting at 40% but VMI turned 14 offensive rebounds and 20 turnovers in to 17 extra looks with an amazing 19-58 effort on threes winning it. Eric Truog tried to carry the offensive load with 26 points and 13 rebounds with James Griffin next in line with 13 points. Manny Thomas and Phillip Lawrence added 13 and 12 points but the Keydets were hitting too many threes.
The Hawks are 8-0 ATS in their last 8 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of less than .400 and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a losing home record. St Joes are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 Saturday games and 19-7-1 ATS in their last 27 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400. The Red Foxes are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games after allowing more than 90 points in their previous game and are 3-10 ATS in their last 13 home games following three or more consecutive road games. Marist are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games and are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. I think this is a big number for St Joes who don't have the offense that lights up the scoreboard which makes this a tough call. I'll back the Hawks who I trust more...
