The Colorado State Rams will travel to the Pan American Center to take on the New Mexico St. Aggies this Saturday night.

The Colorado State Rams remained a perfect 12-0 on the season after defeating the Charleston Southern Buccaneers 75-54 this past Monday. Colorado State shot an incredible 44.8% (13-29) from three-point range and held the Buccaneers to just 34.0% shooting from the field. Leading the way for the Rams was Daniel Bejarano who 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists. Colorado State is currently ranked 18th in the RPI Standings and have played 173rd ranked SOS. The Rams haven’t played anyone ranked in the top-50 of the RPI stands this year, however are 3-0 against teams ranked between 50 and 100 in the RPI Standings. On the season, leading the way for Colorado State has been J.J. Avila (14.1 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 3.4 apg), Stanton Kidd (12.5 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 1.7 apg), and Daniel Bejarano (12.1 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 3.6 apg). Offensively, the Rams are averaging 74.6 ppg (ranked 57th) on 47.5% shooting (ranked 49th). Colorado State averages 8.1 three-pointers per game (ranked 40th) however, will continue to look to improve their free-throw shooting as they currently shoot only 65.2% from the line as a team (ranked 267th). Defensively, the Rams are allowing their opponents to score an average of 63.7 ppg (ranked 130th) on 42.7% shooting (ranked 193rd).

New Mexico State Aggies vs. Colorado State Rams - 12/27/14 College Basketball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The New Mexico State Aggies snapped a 3 game losing streak to improve to 5-8 on the season after defeating the Northern New Mexico Eagles 78-39 this past Monday. The Aggies used a strong defensive effort in the victory as they held the Eagles to just 29.2% shooting from the field. New Mexico State used a balance offensive attacked in the victory and were led by Remi Barry who had 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. Although the Aggies have only notched 5 wins on the season, they’ve been playing better as of late as they were competitive at Baylor and lost a close battle at New Mexico over the past 2 weeks. On the season, New Mexico State has been led by Remi Barry (13.8 ppg, 4.5 rpg), Daniel Mullings (13.4 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 2.0 apg, 2.0 spg), and Pascal Siakam (11.8 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 2.0 bpg). Offensively, the Aggies are scoring an average of 71.5 ppg (ranked 105th) and shooting 45.4% from the field (ranked 101st). New Mexico State does a great job on the offensive glass as they average 13.85 offensive rebounds a game (ranked 25th). Defensively, the Aggies are allowing their opponents to score an average of 66.2 ppg (ranked 178th) on 45.1% shooting (ranked 278th). New Mexico State will look to improve their defensive rebounding as they are currently averaging just 35.77 defensive rpg (ranked 281st).

The Rams are 15-33-3 ATS in their last 51 games overall and just 5-20-1 ATS in their last 26 games following a S.U. win. The Aggies are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. win and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 home games.

Colorado has been shooting lights out early in the season and I certainly see this being the case against the Aggies. Although I think New Mexico State has been playing better as of late, I see the Rams beating the Aggies and covering this small spread. Take the Rams!
