The North Carolina-Wilmington Seahawks make the long trip up the coast to tangle with the Northeastern Huskies.
The North Carolina-Wilmington Seahawks have shown plenty of scoring ability thus far but the defensive end of the floor has been an issue. The Seahawks have also struggled to score during a three game slide which was capped off by a 68-56 loss to visiting Hofstra on Saturday. This one looked like a win through 20 minutes with the Seahawks up eleven but the Pride dominated the second half 43-20 to win going away. UNCW hit at 36% to sink a few more field goals versus the 31% shooting Pride but the visitors owned the foul line 28-10. Craig Ponder paced a trio of double digit scorers with 13 points while CJ Gettys and Addison Spruill tossed in eleven points each and combined for 16 rebounds.

The Northeastern Huskies are one of the favorites in the Colonial Athletic and from what I've seen this looks like a solid prediciction. The defensive minded Huskies don't have a big offense but they have the knack of scoring enough and letting the defense take care of the rest. The Huskies have won three of four after downing Delaware 72-53 on the road Saturday as they led by ten at the half and didn't let up until the final buzzer. The Blue Hens were held to less then 32% while NE hit at 49% including 8-18 from distance while cleaning the glass to the tune of 41-29. Scott Eatherton led all scorers with 15 points and seven pulls with TJ Williams adding 12 points and five boards while David Walker chipped in with ten points.
The Seahawks are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 Monday games and are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. loss while going 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs. Colonial Athletic Association. The Huskies are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS win. Northeastern are 19-40-2 ATS in their last 61 home games and 11-27-2 ATS in their last 40 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. I do not like Northeastern as a big favorite but this is based on potential although I'm not interested...
