John D. Millet Hall and the Miami (Ohio) Redhawks host the Buffalo Bulls in their MAC opener.
It's no secret the Buffalo Bulls lost some very good talent to graduation but they have actually looked like they never lost a thing with nice scoring and defense leading to a 9-3 record heading in to conference play. The Bulls have won back to back contests with a 92-73 tune up rout of visiting Cornell on Saturday. A 51-34 UB second half run broke open a two point game with the Big Red hitting at 43.5% while Bufalo sank shots at 51% with the decisive edge being a 23-9 advantage at the stripe. Shannon Evans exploded for 33 points and five assists on an 8-11 effort on threes followed by 14 point performances from Rodell Wigginton and Lamonte Bearden with Bearden posting ten helpers. Justin Moss and Will Regan rounded out the top producers with 20 points and nine pulls.

The Miami (Ohio) Redhawks are on the outside looking in at the upper half of the conference with reason number one being they are outscored 68-64. The Redhawks might have a bit of momentum on their side as winners in three of four after downing UMKC 66-61 on Saturday. The Kangaroos were limited to under 40% from the floor and gave the ball away 16 times and the 47% shooting Redhawks took just enough advantage to win a game that probably shouldn't have been close. Eric Washington was the only double digit scorer with a game high 23 points and seven rebounds on 8-10 from the floor with an eight point, five yanks and five assists coming from Geovonie McKnight. Altogether nine players found the scoring column.
The Bulls are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400 and 8-0 ATS in their last 8 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record. Buffalo are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 road games. The Red Hawks are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of greater than .600 and 9-24-1 ATS in their last 34 Wednesday games. Miami (Ohio) are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games and 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record. I have been very impressed with the Bulls and they have done well on the road so I'll lay the chalk...
