The conference schedule is just about to begin in the Big West but based on what I have seen thus far the UC Davis Aggies look legitimate. The 10-3 Aggies have not played a tough strength of schedule but they have a solid scoring and defensive squad and that combination should pose problems in the conference action. UCD tuned up for league play with a 78-41 rout of sub division Cal Maritime on Saturday. The Keelhaulers were not much of a threat with 24% shooting and 19 giveaways with the Aggies burning the nets at nearly 54%including a 12-20 performance from long range. JT Adenrele led the scoring charge with 15 points and eight rebounds on 7-11 from the field followed by Avery Johnson and Josh Ritchart with 13 and eleven points. Five players added between 6-8 points to give the Aggies plenty of balance.
