The Line: Quinnipiac Bobcats -14.5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The TD Bank Sports Center and the Quinnipiac Bobcats welcome the Marist Red Foxes to town Sunday.
The Marist Red Foxes are 1-14 and probably looking for a way just to avoid the MAAC basement. The Red Foxes are struggling mightily to both score and defend and did nothing to improve those numbers in Thursday's 67-52 defeat at the hands of visiting Canisius on Thursday as an eight point underdog. The Golden Griffins broke open a one point game with a 37-23 second half as they sank half their looks and dominated the foul line 16-2. Marist responded with 37.5% from the floor which was competitive in the first half. Leading scorer Chavaughn Lewis scored 19 points, grabbed six board and handed out six assists on 8-23 in 40 minutes. Manny Thomas and Phillip Lawrence added 13 and eight points but the rest of the team mustered just 12 points.

The Quinnipiac Bobcats are one of those teams where you never know what they'll do on any given day. They are 7-7 and outscore opponents 69-68 with the top rebounding squad in all of college basketball so to me these numbers should be better then they are. After opening the MAAC schedule at 0-3 the Bobcats picked up a 68-64 victory at Monmouth on Friday. The Hawks never found the shooting touch at 40% which wasted 16 more looks while the Bobcats finished with 47% accuracy and seven more makes at the foul line to come away with a narrow victory over a team that they own. Zaid Hearst was a man among boys with a game high 27 points and ten rebounds while Ousmane Drame dropped 17 points and hauled in another ten boards. The team received points from six others but nobody topped six.
The Red Foxes are 13-6 ATS in their last 19 games following a double-digit loss at home and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 road games. Marist are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS loss and 4-14 ATS in their last 18 games following a S.U. loss. The Bobcats are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400 and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 vs. Metro Atlantic Athletic. Quinnipiac are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games following a S.U. win and 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record. Of course the spread is enormous but I would caution backing either team for obvious reasons...
