The Northern Arizona Lumberjacks take on Big Sky rival the Weber State Wildcats at the Walkup Skydome.
The Weber State Wildcats seem to be missing the mojo that nade them a conference threat the past several years but in reality it looks like the team simply needs a boost in their scoring and defense. The Wildcats are hoping momentum is back on their side with consecutive victories after squeezing by Montana State 65-62 to even their Big Sky record at 2-2. The Bobcats shot the ball well at 49% but hurt themselves with 19 turnovers while Weber State struggled to 36.7% from the floor but turned 21 MSU fouls in to a 24-9 edge at the stripe to win it. Joel Bolomboy was the Wildcats top scorer with 17 points and eleven rebounds while Jeremy Senglin and Richaud Gittens added 15 and 14 points. Kyndahl Hall chipped in with seven points and seven boards but points were scarce outside of the top three.

It's tough to nail down the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks at times as they try to stay competitive while being outscored 69-67. The Lumberjacks have shown much more scoring potential and if they can somehow boost the offense to around 70 points I think this team might be a top four squad in the Big Sky. NAU will be shooting for win number three in a row after downing Southern Utah 70-67 on Saturday. The Thunderbirds trailed by 13 at the half before makiing this tight with a 40.7%-36% shooting edge keeping it close with the Lumberjacks enjoying a 28-16 advantage at the stripe to pull out the victory. Aaseem Dixon carried the scoring load with a game high 22 points on 6-10 from the field with Kris Yanku tossing in 15 points and grabbing seven boards. Quinton Upshur and Jordyn Martin added eleven and eight points and combined for 14 rebounds.
The Wildcats are 36-14-2 ATS in their last 52 Thursday games and 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games overall. Weber State are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a S.U. win. The Lumberjacks are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 vs. Big Sky and 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games following a S.U. win. NAU are 4-9-1 ATS in their last 14 games following a ATS loss and 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400. Weber State is a shell of their former selves and Northern Arizona is erratic but erratic enough for the Wildcats to cover is the question...
