The Colorado State Rams visit Event Center Arena to face Mountain West rival the San Jose State Spartans.
The Colorado State Rams are one of the top teams in the Mountain West with their ability to score and defend. Both units have had a hand in their success and when both are on the same page we see something similar Wednesday's 98-42 rout of visiting Nevada. The Wolf Pack never knew what hit them as they trailed 55-12 at the half and were never a factor with less then 33% shooting and 18 turnovers. On the flip side the Rams fires away at 57% including a 13-24 effort from beyond the arc. Gian Clavell led the scoring spree with 21 points on 7-11 while Fred Richardson III followed with 20 points on another 7-11 effort. Tiel Daniels was next in line with 13 points while Stanton Kidd rounded and Daniel Bejarano rounded out the top contributors with 12 and ten points with Bejarano grabbing nine rebounds.

With the season well under way the San Jose Spartans still haven't been able to increase their scoring and therefore they haven't been able to win. The Spartans are being outscored 68-55 which explains their 2-17 record and I don't think things will be getting much better going forward as the schedule will get a bit tougher. SJSU have dropped seven in a row after a 73-62 home loss to Fresno State Wednesday as an eleven point dog. This was actually a close game before the Bulldogs pulled away late with 52% shooting while San Josecountered with 41% and a killer 17 giveaways. Rashad Muhammed gave the offense 16 points with Jaleel Williams adding 13 points and six pulls. Isaac Thornton and Brandon Mitchell netted nine points apiece with Mitchell hauling in nine rebounds.
The Rams are 14-35-2 ATS in their last 51 games overall and 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record. Colorado State are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 vs. Mountain West and 6-23-1 ATS in their last 30 games following a S.U. win. The Spartans are 16-38-2 ATS in their last 56 home games and 16-38-2 ATS in their last 56 games overall. SJSU are 14-36-2 ATS in their last 52 games following a S.U. loss and 5-15-1 ATS in their last 21 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record. This is a massive spread and my thoughts are the Rams decide if this is a 30 point win or they cruise to a 15 point decision. I don't want any part because it's guessing in my view...
