The Bob Carpenter Center will be rocking when the William & Mary Tribe visit the Delaware Blue Hens.
The William & Mary Tribe are doing some early season damage in the Colonial Athletic with a 5-1 mark although the team seems to start off slow before catching fire late. That trend continued in an 85-72 victory at Towson where a 50 point second half explosion broke a half time tie. The Tigers connected at around 42% which fell well short with the Tribe firing away at almost 56%including a 13-23 display from beyond the arc. When the smoke cleared W&M had five double digit scorers with Daniel Dixon leading with 20 points. Marcus Thornton followed with 18 while Omar Prewitt and Terry Tarpey netted 14 points each with Tarpey pulling down eleven rebounds and handing out five assists. Greg Malinowski rounded out the top scorers with eleven points.

The Delaware Blue Hens are trying to avoid a first to worse scenario after winning the Colonial a year ago before graduation took much of that talent. There is no guarantee waith the Blue Hens sitting at 2-4 after falling at home to Drexel 66-62 as the offense continued to struggle as the Dragons jumped to a 35-23 lead in the opening half. UD connected at 41% but were just 16-25 from the stripe (64%) while the 45% shooting Dragons hit 17-21 from the stripe. Chivarsky Corbett was the Hens top offensive option with 15 points and six pulls on 5-10 shooting with Cazmon Hayes tossing in ten. The trio of Kyle Anderson, Marvin King-Davis and Maurice Jeffers added eight points apiece and combined for 15 rebounds but Delaware needed more players to help with the scoring load.
The Tribe are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of less than .400 and 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400. W&M are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games following a S.U. win and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games following a ATS win. The Blue Hens are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a S.U. loss and 7-1-2 ATS in their last 10 games following a ATS loss. Delaware are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. Colonial Athletic Association. I think much that goes on here is whether William & Mary plays a full 40 minutes or not because they cover if so and don't otherwise...
