The Loyola-Chicago Ramblers shoot for the season sweep of the Evansville Purple Aces in MVC action.
The Evansville Purple Aces have plenty of punch at both ends of the floor which makes them a threat to break in to the top four of the Missouri Valley. The Purple Aces were shown they still have a long way to go after getting whacked by visiting Wichita State 61-41 on Saturday. The Shockers went wire to wire with a ten point lead at intermission as the home team had nothing going at the offensive end on 30% accuracy while the Shockers 41% worked because they also had a 19-9 advantage at the foul line. DJ Balentine was the only player to crack double figures in scoring with 16 points on 6-16 from the field with Duane Gibson next in line with six points while Egidijus Mockevicius posted eight rebounds. The Purple Aces obviously needed more offense and rebounding to compete with the top squad in the conference.
