The Woming Cowboys look to remain atop the Mountain West with a win at the Utah State Aggies.
The defense first Wyoming Cowboys only average 64 points but that seems to matter little with the nation's number three defense allowing a mere 54 points. The Cowboys upped their record to 17-3 as they squeezed past visiting New Mexico 63-62 in overtime Saturday. The Lobos seemed to have the advantage in the halcourt on 45.8% accuracy but they were hurt by 15 giveaways. On the flip side the Cowboys were held to 39% marksmanship but turned 20 UNM fouls in to a 19-10 edge at the stripe. Leading scorer Larry Nance Jr. tossed in 23 points and snared six boards with Josh Adams netting 20 points. Riley Grabau chipped in with nine points with whe rest of the team scoring eleven.

The Utah State Aggies don't have a big offense as they outscore opponents 66-63 so there is not a whole lot of room for error. The key to the Aggies success is controling the scoreboard and avoiding shootouts. That didn't happen in Saturday's 79-77 overtime loss at UNLV as the team led late but couldn't hold on with a chance at a three game winning streak going by the wayside. The Rebels rode 40% shooting and ten more attempts to barely out do the Aggies 48% marksmanship. David Collette gave USU 24 points on 12-16 from the floor followed by 19 point effort by Darius Perkins. Jalen Moore tossed in 12 points and hauled in 12 rebounds while JoJo McGlaston added nine points and ten boards.
The Cowboys are 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 games overall and 2-6-1 ATS in their last 9 games following a S.U. win. The Aggies are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 vs. Mountain West and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall. Utah State are 21-10-1 ATS in their last 32 games following a ATS win and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. There is no argument that Wyoming is the better squad but the Aggies are not easy at home...
