The Temple Owls hope to escape the snow when they visit sunny Florida to battle the UCF Knights.
The Temple Owls have been a score first squad the past few years but have returned to what has always been their calling caard; defense. The problem is now finding enough offense with the Owls outscoring opponents 65-62. Both ends of the floor were at their best in a 73-48 victory against South aflorida which put an end to a three game slide. There wasn't any mystery with the Bulls trailing by 19 at the break and falling further behind in the second. USF was held to 30% shooting with Temple hitting at 40% with a decisive 10-25 from beyond the arc. Jesse Morgan pumped in a game high 19 points on 6-12 from the field followed by a 14 point, six board effort from Quenton DeCosey. Will Cummings tossed in 12 points while Daniel Dingle and Jaylen Bond scored seven points each.

The South Florida Bulls have been a bit all over the map as you never quite know what their dcoring or defense is going to do. We do know neither has been on the same page as their 2-6 conference record tells us. The offense struggled in a 56-46 defeat to visiting Cincinnati Sunday who know how to D it up. The Knights were no slouch on defense with the Bearcats limited to just 40% accuracy. That was still too mush with South Florida held to under 33%. Kasey Wilson led a trio of double digit scorers with 12 points and eleven rebounds while Daiquan Walker netted eleven points followed by a ten point, five yank performance from Brandon Goodwin. The problem was the top three didn't receive enough help.
The Owls are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 games after allowing less than 50 points in their previous game and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS win. The Knights are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 games following a double-digit loss at home and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a S.U. loss. Central Florida are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 vs. American Athletic Conference and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games. If Temple is to be taken seriously in the AAC this is a game they need to win...
